Humber College suspends rugby teams due to conduct violations

Humber College has suspended its varsity men’s and women’s rugby programs pending an investigation into alleged violations of the school’s code of expectations.
The players and coaches were informed of the suspensions Friday afternoon.
The Ontario college wouldn’t provide details of the alleged misconduct, only saying that it was not in keeping with its institutional values related to athletics and student life.
Humber’s code of expectations include guidance on dress codes, hazing, alcohol and drug use, among other things.
