A recent study out of Wilfrid Laurier University finds that female attractiveness negatively impacts the hiring process.

The study, “Are good-looking people more employable?” investigated the role of attractiveness when looking for work.

The study found that while attractive men experience higher callbacks during the hiring process, attractive women actually experience less success in getting an interview.

The study was published in Management Science by Bradley Ruffle, associate professor at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economic.
