By The Associated Press

NEW YORK, N.Y. – U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul, a Texas Republican who chairs the House Committee on Homeland Security, has a book deal.

McCaul’s “Failures of Imagination: The Deadliest Threats to Our Homeland — and How to Thwart Them” will be published Jan. 12 by Crown Forum, the publisher told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

According to Crown Forum, a conservative imprint of the Crown Publishing Group, McCaul will present a “compelling and action-packed narrative” of possible terrorist attacks and how they can be prevented. In a statement released through Crown, McCaul says the “greatest threat to America’s homeland is a failure to imagine the worst-case scenarios.”

The 53-year-old McCaul was first elected to Congress in 2004.
