Arrest made in Cambridge crash in which bike cop was hurt

An arrest has been made in the North Bay area after a Waterloo Regional Police bicycle cop was struck by a vehicle.

The incident happened on Wednesday in Cambridge with the officer suffering minor injuries.

Police say the arrest was made by OPP.

The accused – a 34-year-old Kitchener man – also was allegedly involved in several fail to stop incidents in Kitchener and Cambridge in recent weeks.

He’s slated in to appear in North Bay court today on separate charges and then will be returned to Kitchener where he’ll appear for charges that are pending here.
