Walk for missing, murdered indigenous people passes 800 km mark

A group of Canadians are walking west from Manitoba to Prince Rupert, B-C to press the federal government to launch an inquiry into missing and murdered indigenous women and men.

The group left Winnipeg yesterday after having already trekked 800 kilometres from Norway House, Manitoba.

They plan stops in many cities along the way, including Saskatoon and Edmonton, and hope others will join them.

The group’s GoFundMe page bills the trek as an “awareness walk for all missing and murdered.”
