Regional Police Chief Bryan Larkin will mark his first anniversary as chief on August 31st, and looking ahead, he says one of his priorities for the coming year is traffic safety.
Larkin told The Record’s editorial board he’ll be ramping up road safety patrols, saying the commitment to road safety has declined over the last few years.
Larkin says the traffic branch is being reviewed amid an increase in collisions. He points out that the region has the most roundabouts in Ontario.
The chief adds he has also implemented a safe driving campaign for his officers.
