Columbia Icefield Arena to undergo $600K revamp

A $600,000 shot in the arm for the University of Waterloo’s Columbia Icefield Arena.
The money, from the federal government’s infrastructure fund, will go toward improving the rink’s systems and spectator facilities.
The funding is on top of the $1.7-million earmarked by the university for the project.
The arena is used not only by the Warriors’ athletic teams, but also by the campus community and local minor hockey organizations.
