Condemned apartments purchased for $2.4 million

After being fully shut down for less than one month, the condemned Berlin Palace apartments have been purchased and are scheduled to re-open.

The apartments at 48 Weber Street were purchased for $2.4-million.

The building was shut down earlier this month for code violations and some tenants were even displaced.

Project Manager Stephen Litt told 570 news that they are now working to co-ordinate with the former tenants, as they may still have belongings in the building.

“We’ve been meeting with Kitchener by-law closely to accomodate any tenants that have contents in the building.”

Litt said they plan on having the building up-and-running within the next four months.
