Pan Am roundup: Canada picks up 14 medals on Day 6

Team Canada earned itself some serious hardware on Day 6 of the Pan Am games, adding 14 medals — five gold, six silver, and three bronze — to their total.
Canadians grabbed gold in women’s wrestling, women’s doubles tennis, women’s badminton, and men’s and women’s team cycling.
Canada’s swimmers won three bronze and three silver medals, while its badminton players nabbed three silvers to go with their gold. At the end of Day 6, Canada led the Pan Am pack with 97 medals in all, including 38 gold, 36 silver, and 23 bronze.
