Flights delayed and cancelled at Pearson airport due to labour disruption

By The Canadian Press

TORONTO – A number of flights at Toronto Pearson International Airport have been delayed or cancelled today.

A spokesperson with the Greater Toronto Airport Authority says the problems are due to a labour disruption between a refuelling company and some airlines.

Spokeswoman Sheena Hanifa asks passengers to check their flight status online, but wouldn’t say which airlines are being affected.

She says that the disruptions began around 6:30 a.m. and as of 8 a.m., 35 flights had been cancelled.
