OPP officers from the Highway Safety Division Detachment are still investigating after a major crash on the 401 near Winston Churchill Boulevard.
Both victims are from Guelph, the 56-year-old driver sustained minor injuries while the 15-year-old passenger received possibly life-altering injuries and was airlifted to hospital.
Yesterday morning around 4am their van was traveling in the right lane when the driver lost control of his car. The car then rolled multiple times, which trapped the 15-year-old passenger for almost an hour.
The reason for losing control is still under investigation but police say the vehicle may have experienced a mechanical issue or tire deflation.
Police are asking any witnesses who might have seen the crash to contact Port Credit OPP.
