Recent rain has resulted in heavy runoff and higher water flows in the region.
Grand River Conservation Authority spokesperson Cam Linwood says since Sunday, 25-60 mm of rain has fallen throughout the watershed.
“This rain has resulted in heavy runoff, and there are higher amounts falling into the river down stream in some of the urban areas where some heavy runoff occurs.”
He says recreational river users should use caution and children and pets should stay away from river banks.
Linwood says they are not expecting any significant flooding but will continue to monitor the situation.
