Lobster anyone?
The Kitchener-Conestoga Rotary Club is holding its 44th annual Lobsterfest tonight.
Money raised will go towards a project to improve conditions for mothers and newborn babies at a hospital in La Pointe, Haiti.
President of International Outreach for the St. Joseph Health System, Peter Sweeney says, “The degree of need is quite staggering.”
He adds, “There is only one obstetrician on staff, and he delivers three to four babies a day. At least one of those is by C-section.”
Lobsterfest is being held at Bingemans.
Doors open at 6.
Tickets are $85, but you also get a $50 tax receipt.
