Waterloo Region got a nod of recognition for our environmental initiatives in Ottawa today.
Parliament’s Environment Committee focused on the success of Sustainability Waterloo which has encouraged private sector employers to reduce operating costs with a smaller carbon footprint.
The Grand River Conservation Authority was also mentioned with the multiple ongoing environmental initiatives by private sector sources in the Grand River Watershed.
The Parliament Environment Committee is studying the role of private sector collaboration with not-for-profit organizations in local environmental initiatives.
