Mayfair demolition slows as plan modifications are made

There’s not much left of the former Mayfair Hotel.
The demolition has been going well this week at the downtown Kitchener site and crews are now making sure that the building near the demolition site aren’t harmed in the process.
Kitchener’s chief building official says engineers are now fine-tuning further demolition plans.
Mike Seiling tells The Record that there will be no more demolition until some building shoring is checked out on structures located between 156 and 150 King Street.
Seiling says modifications to the demolition plan are now being made.
