Our Mayors will be serving breakfast as a part of DIG IN, a one day, region-wide food drive.
Organizers at the Waterloo Food Bank say 360,000 meals will be needed this summer.
The Mayors’ DIG IN Breakfast is looking to accept food and financial donations at sites throughout the region to help those in need.
Each dollar raised will provide food for three meals.
DIG IN is also a means of launching a new national campaign called Every Plate Full in partnership with Food Banks Canada.
The community is encouraged to join the challenge to raise enough food and funds to provide the meals that will be needed this summer.
