Cambridge woman one step closer to collecting $50,000 lotto prize

A Cambridge woman is one step closer to collecting her $50,000 lotto prize.

Maria Costa is having a some troubles though, because her daughter is an employee at an OLG retail location.

That means the prize falls within the lotterys definition of an “Insider Win”.

As of today shes complete the first phase, which is an independent investigation by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

The money will now be held for a 30 day waiting period.

If there are no additional claims on the prize, Costa will be the official winner June 1st.

The ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Dundas Street March 31st.
