This week we shine the spotlight on the young women in the tech program at the Cambridge YWCA.
They were nominated by Executive Director, Kim Decker, who says the girls used a donated 3-D printer to produce a prosthetic arm for a child in the United States. “The gals in the program had to program the 3-D printer, print each of the parts for the hand and then afterwards had to follow the blueprints and assemble the hand, which they did and then mailed it away and now there’s a child somewhere in the U.S. that has a hand.”
