The Kitchener Sports Association has announced its 2014 Athlete of the Year nominees.
They are:
Jessica Buttinger – Field Hockey/Athletics
Alec Elliot – Swimming
Katie Hancock – Basketball
Taveena Kum – Boxing
Becky Pavan – Volleyball
Tanner Pearson – Ice Hockey
Andrew Poje/Kaitlyn Weaver – Figure Skating
Silvana Shaumon – Martial Arts
Tyler Varga – Football
Amanda Woodcroft – Field Hockey
The winner of the 17th annual Athlete of the Year award will be announced at an awards dinner on Wednesday, May 20th at the Wilmot Rec. Complex.
In 2013, the award went to figure skaters Kirsten Moore-Towers and Dylan Moscovitch.
