Assault charge laid after baby boy critically injured in Guelph

Guelph Police have laid charges in connection with an incident in late March in which an 11-week-old boy was critically injured.
Police say a 31-year-old Guelph woman is charged with aggravated assault.
Police were called in after the child was taken to Guelph General Hospital with critical head injuries.
The youngster was assessed and then rushed to McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton.
The woman is scheduled to appear in court next month.
