$15 million to be invested in U-W’s Institute for Quantum Computing

The Federal Government is investing $15 Million over three years for the Institute for Quantum Computing.

The Institute at the University of Waterloo has always been an industry leading facility.

Kitchener- Waterloo MP Peter Braid made the announcement and says it’s only going to help create jobs in our region, and country.

“This is about ensuring that Canada retains the leadership position that we have today in Quantum Computing and that we’re poised for the success that will follow.”

He says it just goes to show, Waterloo continues to be the centre of innovation in Canada and it’s renowned worldwide when it comes to the research being done.
