Kitchener’s downtown will once again have a cinema

A new cinema will soon be opening it’s doors in downtown Kitchener at 141 Ontario street.
Apollo Cinema will have their official grand opening next month, but are planning a soft launch before the end of January.
Officials say they’re planning to feature more independent films and documentaries like “Birdman” and “Gone Girl.”
“We’re really excited to be bringing a unique cinema going experience to the downtown Kitchener area” says Daniel Demois, Co-Owner of Apollo Cinema “Kitchener is a really up and coming area, and it’s growing. There’s condos going in, Light Rail Transit. We feel downtown Kitchener is deserving of this experience.”
Representatives say they’re excited to be a part of the community, and they’ve already received a lot of support from people planning to visit once they open.
