Two CBC executives placed on indefinite leave in wake of Ghomeshi scandal

TORONTO – The fallout continues from the Jian Ghomeshi sex scandal as two top C-B-C executives involved with the case have been placed on indefinite leave.

Chris Boyce, executive director of C-B-C-Radio, and Todd Spencer, the head of human resources and industrial relations for English services, are off “until further notice.”

Monique Marcotte will assume Spencer’s responsibilities while Cindy Witten will take over for Boyce.

The C-B-C fired Ghomeshi in October after seeing what it called “graphic evidence” that he had caused physical injury to a woman.

He is also facing four counts of sexual assault and one charge of choking.

Ghomeshi — who is out on bail — has admitted he engaged in “rough sex” but insisted it was always consensual.
