Listowel’s Conners back on Golf Canada’s men’s national amateur squad

Listowel’s Corey Conners will once again represent Team Canada in 2015. He was named to the men’s national amateur squad on Thursday.

The 22-year-old finished runner-up at this year’s US Amateur, earning exemptions to play in the 2015 Masters and U.S. Open. He also helped Canada win the Tailhade Cup.

Rounding out the men’s national amateur squad are Burlington’s Blair Hamilton, Adam Svensson of B.C. and
Austin Connelly, a dual citizen, who lives in Texas.

Women’s national amateur squad

-Brittany Marchand, Orangeville
-Elizabeth Tong, Thornhill
-Jennifer Ha, Alberta
-Maddie Szeryk, Texas (a dual citizen)

As part of the National Amateur Team Program, Golf Canada also named the 22-and-under development squad that includes five female and six male athletes. Waterloo’s Trevor Ranton made the men’s team.
