Flood warning continues for Nith River, level expected to peak in Ayr around 8pm

A flood warning continues for the Nith River in New Hamburg and Ayr.
The Grand River Conservation Authority says river levels peaked shortly after midnight and will remain high throughout the day.
There has been some flooding of low-lying areas in Ayr. Levels are expected to peak around 8pm.
There’s also a flood warning for the Conestogo River in St. Jacobs where the closure of the low level bridge upstream of St. Jacobs on Three Bridges Road remains in effect.
On the Grand River, a flood watch remains in place, but water levels are starting to recede.
