CHYM Tree of Hope campaign kicks off

It is once again time to raise money for those in need in our region as the CHYM Tree of Hope Campaign kicks off today at Fairview Park Mall in Kitchener.

All proceeds from the campaign goes to support Family and Children’s Services Waterloo Foundation.

The event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will have a special tree lighting ceremony at 11 a.m. with Adele from CHYM.

Sarah Murphy with Family and Children’s Services says they raised $416,000 last year which went to support crisis services for family and children in Waterloo Region. This year’s goal is $275,000.

There will also be many things for children to take part in at Saturday’s event such as colour and crafts and adults are encourged to wear an ugly christmas sweater and tweet out photos using #sweaterselfie.

You can donate to the campaign by going to FACSWaterloo.org or CHYMFM.com
