Typical November = 13cm of snow, this one already over 18cm

This has been a November to remember.

570 News Weather Specialist, John Wilson says we typically get about 13 centimetres of snow for the full month, but already we’ve had over 18, not including Thursday night’s snowfall totals.

He says since it’s been colder than normal, we also have more snow staying on the ground than normal.

Usually, it’s just a trace, but right now it’s around 13 centimetres.

John says we’ve had 9 days with snow this month, with more than a week to go until December arrives.

In a typical November, that number is around 6 days.

As for the cold, during a normal November we experience about three days when the high fails to reach zero.

So far this month, we’ve had 7 days.

We are expecting a significant warm up starting tomorrow.

The high for Saturday is 5, 8 for Sunday and 9 for Monday.

Showers are in the forecast for all three days as well.
