Do something nice for someone, it’s Random Act of Kindness Day

It could be as simple as thanking someone for a job well done.

Today is Random Act of Kindness Day. It’s the 7th year for the campaign which was launched by The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation.

“The message is simple; do something nice for someone and ask nothing in return other than they do something nice for someone else.”

Some of the organizations and groups getting involved include the City of Waterloo. It’s hosting a free family event in the public square from 3 until 5pm.

Volunteers from Manulife Financial are also writing letters of thanks to members of the Canadian Forces.

The morning kick-off takes place from 7 until 8am at Conestoga Mall in Waterloo. It will include special presentations by
KWCF’s CEO, Rosemary Smith, and Waterloo Regional Police Chief, Bryan Larkin.

The City of Cambridge will also be participating.
