Pair of Kitchener boxers to fight in finals at Nationals on Saturday

Kitchener’s Mandy Bujold will fight in the final at Boxing Canada’s 2015 Elite Canadian Championships in Mississauga on Saturday afternoon.

Bujold defeated Team Ontario’s Sierra Picton 3-0 in the 51kg category on Wednesday.

“I came away with the unanimous decision win tonight and felt great in the ring. I have been very active competing internationally this year and I think these experiences have helped me immensely with my confidence and composure in the ring.” Bujold said in a news release.

She will fight Mississauga’s Amanda Galle in the final at 1pm on Saturday.

Kitchener’s Taveena Kum will also fight B-C’s Evelyn Calado in the 48-kg final. They were the only fighters in that weight category.

The championships are taking place at the Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre.
