Rangers paste Ottawa 6-2

It was a busy 3 in 3 weekend for the Kitchener Rangers and the East Avenue Blue picked up five of a possible six points.

The Rangers cruised past the Ottawa 67’s 6-2 at The Aud on Sunday night.

Five Kitchener skaters had two point nights including Doug Blaisdell, who scored his first of the season. Brandon Robinson, Connor Bunnaman, Mason Kohn and Gustaf Franzen also recorded two points. Darby Llewellyn also scored, his fourth of the season.

Dawson Carty picked up his second consecutive win in his first start at home. The Rangers held a 38-25 shot advantage.

The win moves Kitchener to within two points of the second place Attack. The Rangers next game is in Owen Sound on Saturday. 570 News has the pre-game at 7pm.

On Friday. The Rangers lost 4-3 to the Attack in a shootout. Kitchener then beat the Whalers 5-3 in Plymouth on Saturday night.
