Be prepared when you head to the polls today

It’s election day across the province and eligible voters will be heading out to their local polling stations.

There are a few things to remember to bring with you when you vote, such as your voter registration card and a piece of identification.

Some people are concerned they haven’t received a voter card or are not on the voting list and could have issues when they arrive at the polls.

Kitchener City Clerk Christine Tarling shares with 570 News some advice for those voters.

“If you are not on the list, you can come to the polling location with one piece of identification with your name and address on it and staff at the polling location can assist you with getting on the list and voting.”

Polling stations are open until 8 p.m. You can find your polling location here.
