The smiles aren’t just on the cookies as the annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign raised $106,120 this year for KidsAbility & Nutrition.
For one week annually, Tim Hortons patrons are able to purchase Smile Cookies for $1, with all proceeds from the sales supporting the local community.
On Wednesday, among community members, Tim Hortons Restuarant owners presented the cheque to the recipients, as they have been able to do for the past 12 years. The combined total since the campaign began in 1996 is more than a million dollars in Kitchener-Waterloo alone.
In a media release, Tim Horton’s owner, Kathy Toushan said that they look forward to the campaign each year.
“This year’s campaign was a major success yet again and we have our loyal guests to thank for all of their wonderful generosity.“
