Almost 11,000 pounds of food collected at Monday’s parade

The Food Bank of Waterloo Region collected close to 11,000 pounds of food at Monday’s Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest
Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Over $11,000 in cash was also collected by volunteers, which will be used to purchase additional food.
The festival’s Executive Director, Dave MacNeil says since the Onkel Hans Food Drive began, 1.4 million pounds of food has been collected.
