The KWCF releases 2014 Vital Signs report

The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation is out with its latest Vital Signs report.
It’s seen a report card for our community.
Among the highlights, our community keeps growing, but our charitable donations are not keeping up.
When it comes to community belonging:
- just over 54% of those who identify as being straight or heterosexual have a strong sense of
belonging compared to only 36.9% of those in the community who identify as being gay,
lesbian, bisexual or other-identified
- 46% of residents who have an annual income of less than $40,000 have a strong sense of belonging. That figure climbs to just under 61% for those earning $120,000 or more
