Possible cougar spotted in North Dumfries

Regional police are telling residents in the area of Dundas Street in North Dumfries Township to be extra cautious after a possible sighting of a cougar.
Just before 6 o clock Sunday evening, police received a call about a suspected cougar walking in an open field.
Police have yet to locate any evidence of the animal.
Meantime, the Ministry of Natural Resources says they have not had any other reported sightings of cougars in the Region.
The African Lion Safari has said all their wildlife is accounted for.
