The Kitchener-Conestoga Rotary Club has unveiled its’ 2014 Rotary Dream Home.

Each bedroom comes with a walk-in closet, but the winner doesn’t just get a dream home.

This year, the lottery has partnered with BMW/Mini Grand River, who have donated a Mini Roadster Convertible. Sales Manager, Bernie Wong says it was important for them to give back to the community. “The community gives us a lot of business and it’s nice for us to have a change to give back to the community as well.”

Chair of this year’s Dream Home Lottery, Paul Sweeny has high hopes for ticket sales this year. He tells 570 News that all funds raised through ticket sales will go directly to our local hospitals.

“If we sell out, we are looking at probably netting at about $6-$700,000 and that will be split between St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation and Grand River Hospital Foundation. The two hospitals would be buying new equipment…I believe it’s incubators for the neo natal unit then some cardiac equipment for St. Mary’s.”

Sweeny says that there are only 20,000 tickets up for grabs this year and he hopes that they are all sold by October. The grand prize draw will take place on November 23rd.
