Two dogs rescued during morning fire in Elmira

Officials are investigating a fire this morning in Elmira.
Waterloo Regional Police say a resident called 911 just before 7 o’clock after spotting smoke pouring out of his house.
Police say everyone got out of the house on Carriage Hill Trail safely, and Elmira firefighters went inside and rescued two dogs.
There’s no damage figure available and police say the cause appears to be accidental.
