12:00- Dr. Paul Salvini, CEO of the Accelerator Centre
Paul Salvini is the newly appointed CEO of the Accelerator Centre. He will also serve as the Associate Vice-President, Research Commercialization at the University of Waterloo. He officially took up the reigns of duty at the AC on August 25th, 2014. Dr. Salvini, a seasoned executive with proven experience in growing highly profitable, world-class technology companies, joins Accelerator Centre from Christie Digital Systems Canada Inc., where he served as Chief Technology Officer guiding the company’s global research and innovation strategy.

12:15- Terry Frey, COO of BigRoad (Graduate of the Accelerator Centre)
Terry Frey is co-founder and COO of BigRoad. The company successfully graduated from the Accelerator Centre in June 2013, and now operates out of offices in Kitchener. BigRoad has an app that targets owner/operators and small to mid-sized fleets in the trucking industry. It enables drivers to electronically track and report on their hours of service, a measure that is important to trucking safety and for Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) compliance.

DeepTrekker manufactures small, portable underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). The company’s mission is to give anyone on the earth an opportunity to explore the depths of our vast oceans, seas, lakes, or rivers with an ROV.

12:45- Rini Gahir, co-founder of Mozzaz
Mozzaz, a current client of the Accelerator Centre, is a healthcare startup focused on improving the daily living of individuals with complex care needs, and providing better knowledge sharing and coordination of care amongst people within the circle of care (caregivers, family members, healthcare practitioners).
