A trial date will soon be set in Guelph, following an investigation into a man facing attempted murder charges in relation to an incident on the 401 just south of Guelph early this year.
Back in January, OPP recieved reports of a motorist driving the wrong way on the 401. Once the vehicle was pulled over, the driver attempted to leave and rammed an OPP cruiser.
The accused, 33-year-old Derek Carroll from Montreal is to appear in Guelph assignment court on October 6.
Another incident had also taken place that day prior to the collision, which sent a woman to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
