Another step forward in the provincial government’s plan to double round-trip GO service between Kitchener and Toronto by 2016.
Metrolinx is asking for quotes from design and engineering firms interested in designing and planning a train layover and bus facility in Kitchener.
The new train yard is planned to be built near 200 Shirley Ave.
The value of the potential contract has not been released.
