Alberta RCMP 3 teens who drowned in Peace River not wearing life-jackets

FORT VERMILION, Alta. – It appears that three teens have drowned in northern Alberta.

RCMP say the three aged 14, 15 and 16, went swimming Friday night in the Peace River near Fort Vermilion.

Police say they were swept away by the current during a family swim Saturday on the Fox Lake reserve.

Police say all three bodies have been located and recovered from the river.

None of the teens was wearing life-jackets.

The names of the teens are not being released.
