Huge deficit for Centre in the Square

Kitchener’s Centre in the Square is having some serious cash flow troubles.
Today’s Record reports Centre in the Square posted a $1.5-million deficit last year.
Reports say it ran up the deficit despite receiving its annual operating grant of $1.4 million from the City of Kitchener.
Kitchener Mayor Carl Zehr tells the paper at the current rate, it’s not sustainable.
The facility will now undergo a review – which will be made public at Kitchener City council August 27th.
