Liberals avoid credit rating downgrade, for now

The Wynne liberals have dodged a credit rating downgrade from Standard & Poors, but is being warned, it could still happen.
S&P says the province must do more to control spending or increase revenues to balance the books.
The rating is unchanged, but the agency says it could be lowered next year if there’s not progress in shedding the debt and deficit.
