Damages estimated to top $200,000 after Waterloo fire

An investigation is ongoing after a fire ripped through a Waterloo home early Sunday morning, causing extensive damage.
Waterloo Fire Platoon Chief, Dean Good, tells 570 News that they were called to the home on Marshall Street at 1:45 a.m. There were 17 fire fighters on scene and they had the fire under control in approximately an hour.
Damages are estimated at $200,000 and include the home, contents, as well as two cars that were in the home’s car port.
No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
