Police Services Board prepares to replace Chief Torigian

The Police Services Board is looking to replace Chief Matt Torigian before he leaves on June 8, by appointing an interim chief.

Both internal and external candidates can apply between May 15 and 31.

The board will then decide on an interim chief who will not be a candidate for the permanent position.

A new chief is expected be announced in the summer.

570’s Kathlene Campbell-Conlon spoke with Waterloo Regional Police Services Board Chair Tom Galloway about this process.
