Police investigate suspicious death, man’s body found near Victoria Park

Homicide detectives with Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a suspicious death near Kitchener’s
Victoria Park.
A man’s body was found in a wooded area of the park around 2:30pm on Thursday.
Police have not yet identified the victim.
WRPS spokesperson, Olaf Heinzel says people in the Schneider Avenue area of the park discovered the body. That section of the park will remain closed until further notice.
Police are also asking anyone with information to give them a call.
An autopsy is expected to be done sometime today in Hamilton.
