Cambridge Spring Food Drive

The cambridge self-help food bank supports anyone who is living below the poverty line that needs access to food.

Their spring food drive kicked off this morning at the Canadian General Tower in Cambridge.

Past Chair of the board Anne Miller says they do not have a specific goal for this season.

“In past years, we’ve announced a poundage goal regarding the number of thousands of foods we would need. However when we don’t quite get there it doesn’t seem as successful.”

All food donated is distributed to thirty two partners in the community such as homeless shelters, the women crisis centre and neighbourhood associations.

Video from the drive can be seen below.
