Ranger players climbing up NHL Central Scouting list

NHL Central Scouting has released its final rankings for the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Four Kitchener Rangers have made the list of the top 210 North American skaters. Forward Ryan MacInnis is the top ranked Ranger at 20th on the list. The St. Louis, MO native scored 16 goals and added 21 assists and appeared in the Top Prospects Game. He moved up from 33rd in the midterm rankings.

Forward Nick Magyar is ranked 32nd, up from #52 at the halfway point. The Mentor, OH native led the Rangers with 46 points this season. He became the first rookie since Derek Roy to win the team’s scoring title. Magyar was also fourth in the OHL rookie scoring race.

Darby Llewellyn led the Rangers with 25 goals this season and was ranked 64th by central scouting, up from #113 at the mid-point. The Ann Arbor, MI forward nearly tripled his rookie point total with 36 points this season.

Defenceman Frank Hora is ranked 176th. Hora scored one goal and had 19 helpers in his first season with the Rangers.
