Kitchener Rangers take on Erie this morning

570 News has the broadcast of today’s game, starting with the puck drop at 11 AM.

That’s one of three matinees in the OHL today.

The Rangers will go into this morning’s game with a few injuries plaguing its’ players.

The team lost rookie Jimmy Soper and veteran Matia Marcantuoni to injuries in Sunday’s win over Sault Sainte Marie.

Soper suffered a thumb injury during a second period fight, while Marcantuoni left late in the third with an undisclosed upper body injury.

That means Ty Learn will play his first game of the season as the Rangers skate this morning in Erie.

Learn played eight games with the Rangers last season, and has seven points in 16 games with the Kitchener Dutchmen so far this year.

Ben Thomson has also made trip to Erie today and will be a game time decision.

The overage forward has missed six games with an ankle injury.
