Police investigate stabbing in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating an early morning stabbing in Kitchener.
Police tell 570 News an officer on routine patrol Sunday morning in the King Street East and Sydney Street area noticed a man in distress.
The 56 year old from Alberta was suffering from a stab wound to his upper chest.
He is currently being treated at Grand River Hospital for serious injuries.
The criminal investigation branch is asking anyone who may have witnessed something in the area around 3 a.m. to come forward.
